Learn to Lift Workshops
A coached introduction to strength training - in a calm, supportive environment
Learn to Lift is my flagship small group coaching programme for women in perimenopause and beyond who want to feel stronger, more capable, and more confident using weights.
This is not a fitness class, bootcamp, or circuits session. It is a coached, structured learning experience designed specifically for women who may feel intimidated by gyms, unsure where to start, worried about injury, or lacking confidence with strength training.
Groups are kept intentionally small - a maximum of three women - so there is time for proper coaching, movement observation, individual support, and questions throughout. The focus is on understanding movement patterns properly, not rushing through exercises.
Over four weeks, you will learn the six foundational movement patterns - squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, and core stability - using dumbbells, kettlebells, bodyweight, and resistance bands. Sessions include movement coaching, guided progressions, posture and stability work, and discussions around weight selection, tempo, reps, and progression.
Throughout the programme, I provide regular support via WhatsApp with movement reminders, form videos, technique recaps, and guidance as you need.
By the end of four weeks:
By the end of four weeks, the aim is for you to feel confident using weights, comfortable in your home or in a gym environment, clear on technique, and ready to continue strength training independently.
4 x 1-hour weekly sessions
Maximum 3 participants
Held at Rise Above Gym, Old Sarum, Salisbury
WhatsApp support throughout
All session resources and videos shared within the group
If a session is missed, all resources from that session are still shared. Optional catch-up or progression sessions can be booked separately if additional support is needed.
Small group coaching for women in Perimenopause and beyond, who are new to strength training
The first workshop sold out. One participant rated her confidence with weights 4 out of 10 before she started. After four weeks she rated it 8.
